Structural Steel Welder Summary

POSITION: Structural Steel Welder

POSITION SUMMARY:

Use hand held wire feed gun or stick to weld structural steel components together using fillet, partial pen or full penetration welds according to detail drawings. Must be able to determine welding sequence to complete welding in most productive way and prevent any weld distortion or warping of welded pieces and components. Weld and fabricate steel components to assemble structural steel such as columns, beams, braces, trusses, and plate girders according to blueprints and knowledge of welding. Weld using duel shield 1/16, 5/64, .045 or other diameter wire as required. Perform related tasks such as flame cutting, arc gouging, and grinding. May repair products by dismantling, straightening, re-shaping, and re-assembling parts, using cutting torch, rose bud torch and hand tools.

Learn and follow all safety regulations and procedures

EDUCATION: High School Diploma
EXPERIENCE: Must have minimum 6 months dual shield related experience
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time - Hourly
